"How to Get Published”: An Evening of Creative Writing, Publishing Discussion, and more
Join us for a creative and inspiring evening of writing and conversation, following in the Highland-inspired footsteps of Neil Gunn. During the workshop you’ll draft poems, stories, and non-fiction pieces inspired by your own experiences and the landscape that surrounds us.
Together with Kirsty and David, you’ll then explore how these early drafts can be developed into polished pieces ready to share with the world, including guidance on preparing work for publishers, agents, and literary opportunities.
Bring your stories, ideas, and curiosity, and join us for an evening where creativity and publication begin.

Where Did We Come From?
An evolution/ancestor themed event with author readings, music and Q&A with Cynthia Rogerson, Kirsty Gunn, David Graham and Alpha Munro. Including Common Ground — The Shared Literary Landscapes of Neil Gunn and Kirsty Gunn - although not related by family, Neil Gunn and Kirsty Gunn share a deep connection to the landscapes of the Northern Highlands, something powerfully reflected in their writing.
Join us in Wick for an evening of readings from both authors’ work, alongside a discussion exploring how the surrounding landscape shapes and inspires storytelling.

“Local Voices, Local Lives” An Evening of Poetry and Publishing
In this creative and informative evening of poetry reading and discussion, we will be celebrating the richness of life contained in local community, friends and family, through hearing the work of poets Cáit O’Neill McCullagh and Roderick Watson and talking with publisher David Graham about how experience of the local and familiar might take published form.

Join us at the University of Dundee for a guest lecture from David Graham on the founding and development of North House Press.
